Down spouts

I need a non drain tile solution. But I have no fence and terrible neighbors. Any ideas on getting water away from the foundation that can hold up to potential foot traffic?

All 4 down spouts essentially point down and the water goes into basement.

This drain extender pour water out the bottom badly.

Cross bracing

Is the reason the floors are so bouncy because there is no cross bracing? And where there is its not always connected up. And under the kitchen dinning area there is none. I think it has to do with the pipes. Its to the southwest side of the house where the furnace, water heater, and the breaker box are.

I heard somewhere it was supposed to be every 4 feet. Any ideas on what I should do?

Basement bathroom 1

An acid drain opener was pour constantly down the upstairs bathtub drain. This hole was made and left after a somewhat hard time getting at the pipes to replace them.

Hoosier

Somewhere in there is a hoosier.

And since its down there it has become moldy. I was thinking of using a water bleach mix or some bathroom mold remover since it is going to be refinished anyway.

Repair and refinsih

Ok, Fix it, strip it, refinish it. Where to start and what tools? Oh and is this an armoire?

Demo' 1

Some drywall went up and two rooms were declared built. Over time water that got in the basement was just left alone since the rooms were unused.

How and where do I start with getting rid of this stuff? Since its drywall and plastered over I figure just pull out the nails and cut it up and bag it. The studs are attached to the floor with liquid nails.

Garbage 2

Also there are two thin metal cabinets, and an old washing machine.

Cracks

Every room in the house has a crack running down the middle of it. They run north to south. This run has a little spot of left over water damage cracking. The roof was last re-singled back in the 80's allover. The front part was patched a couple of years ago.

No storage

And an inability to throw junk out.
This deep freezer should really be in the basement.

It is supposed to be a china cabinet. pictures and old bills fill this thing up. It is a press board or whatyacallit with the picture of wood on it... There is no room in here for it anyway.

Garbage 1

Nice huh? A bedroom full of garbage. Aside from dealing with the mental problem of how they let it get like this. Notice the celling and the corner. I need to do some plaster patching in several spots around the house.

Oh look were the door frame ended up. Also the windows need to be..., well one of those needs to be replaced because its broken. Then all the houses windows need to be glazed. I think I know how to get them out... Could somebody go over that for me?

Wasted insurance

Okay, a new door had been bought but, they had some silly idea that we only needed to a new door at not a new door frame. So they took the pre hung door off and just used it. none of the holes matched so they gouged out the frame and slapped putty all over it. And of course you don't even need to really try to push it it now.

It was like $140 for the pre-hung entry door. So having some insurance money left over since I opted for replacing the multi-region DVD player with $50 one. The blew the rest on a steel storm door.

This is just going to have fixed by a professional. Plus there three other doors to be fixed.

Glass block windows

2004 we had a break in. Insurance money ended up be wasted and this window was never fixed.

Since forever the dryer vent was just run out the window. After the glass block and all gonna need to drill threw a brick wall for a vent. Need the how to on that.

Basement sink

Any magic cleaning solutions? Needs a new faucet as well.

And it is still another leak. This time its at the drain hole.

Back stairwell

Paneling was decided to be put up so they wouldn't have to paint the walls. Glue and finish nails were used.

As soon as it went up it started pulling away from the walls and buckling. Now the is a leak. So How do I get this stuff down?

Three problems

The p trap was replaced by somebody who felt the need to use a big pipe wrench so it leaks at the connections. I would like to replace it all with plastic. And when you turn the water on then off there is a nice thumping noise.

Replace this faucet

What tools do I need to put in a new kitchen faucet? Why a plastic one was bought I will never know.

While I am in the bathroom

I need to put in some new tiles to update this space. Where do I start?

Bathroom before even thinking about renovation

The threads on the bit that is bare there have worn down. People are still using it by pushing the also worn knob down on it. Everything is loose inside the wall and I have noticed there is leak now.

The backside has no access panel. The wall is drywall with a rough coat of plaster and a smooth coat on top of that.

So, how do I install new tub controls and get at the back of the pipes for the leak. The pipes are galvanized ones.

By the Way I have no tools really. A phillips screw driver and a pair of pliers. Also any thoughts on flow control valve installation would be helpful too.
